Caravaggio

Randomly trawling through the Net, I ran across this page on Wikipedia. Some of the paintings are superb! The sense of realism is fantastic. I wonder what goes on in the brain when the artist makes the connection between the imagery in his brain and the movements of the hand on paper/canvas.
